The NIGHT SPRINGS theme begins to play against the backdrop of stars in space before cutting to a close up angle shot of a man on the phone pacing back and forth.
MAN: So, we don't know where he is. Uh, we can't --- we can't find him. So, we need to look into a, uh, y'know. A replacement.
The NIGHT SPRINGS theme resumes and the logo appears. The scene cuts to a booth occupied by one of the first voice actors trying out for the narration role for NIGHT SPRINGS.
Audition #1: All ponies are made of butter... in Night Springs! [Screams]
Audition #2: [Unintelligible]
MAN: [Exasperated] Thank you.
Audition #3: [Marge Simpson voice] All ponies are made of butter... in Night Springs.
Audition #4: We know the old dance-- [looks down at script] --- fort, um, the fortunate and the destitute. The haves --- [slurs words] --- have nots. Those who dine at the table and those who starve in the street. But the tables can be over --- [pauses] --- uh --- [stammers] --- but the tables can be turned. The gluttonous consumer may find himself the consumable resource. [pauses] Do that again.
Audition #5: ...And yet, that is the fate that awaits you in... Night Fringe.
Man: [Corrects] It's "Night Springs".
Audition #5: Night Cringe.
Man: [enunciate] "Springs"!.
Audition #5: Bight Blings?
Man: Night Springs.
Audition #5: Fright Winge.
Audition #6: [Monotone] We know the old dance. The fortunate and the destitute. The haves and the have nots. Those who dine at the table and those who starve in the street, but the tables can be turned. The gluttonous consumer may find himself the consumable resource in Night... Springs.
Monotone man walks away from microphone. NIGHT SPRINGS theme resumes against the backdrop of a galaxy of stars.'
