Doctor Sofia Amaral is a scientist employed by Monarch Solutions. The head of Monarch's chronon particle research, Sofia worked with Henry Kim prior to his death to create a cure that would halt the disease that afflicted chronon active individuals like Paul Serene.[2] During the events of October 2016, Sofia remained devoted to the successful launch of the Lifeboat Protocol. When Sofia attempted to warn Paul that the fracture in time was causing the End of Time to approach quicker than originally anticipated[3], she butted heads with Martin Hatch, CEO of Monarch, who believed she was an obstacle in his plans for Monarch's future.[3][4]
