Time Vision[1] is one of six Time Powers acquired in Quantum Break.

"Time Vision" was one of the first Chronon active abilities that manifested shortly after Jack Joyce's exposure to Chronon energy. Jack began experience premonitive-esque feelings, sensing things around him before they could happen, and echoes of the past as well.

Time Vision functions not unlike that of Batman: Arkham Asylum's Detective Mode. Pressing XboxOne Y activates Time Vision, the function itself saturating the overall environment with a grayscale tone that highlights enemies, weapons, and items with color cues. Unlike Detective Mode, however, Jack cannot use Time Vision while he is in motion.

Weapons and ammo bags are highlighted in blue, while collectibles and other interactive objects (such as destructible objects and Time Triggers) are highlighted in orange and yellow. Time vision is also useful for locating Chronon Sources, indicated by a yellow radar on the screen.

Used strategically, Time Vision aids the player in combat heavy segments of the game. Enemies appear highlighted in red, which provides a general location of position relative to the player.

Time Vision can be upgraded a number of three times:

  • Active Pulse costs one Chronon Source. Active Pulse allows players to use Time Dodge and Time Rush to temporarily reveal enemies for a short period of time.
  • Increased Threat Detection costs four Chronon Sources. Increased Threat Detection allows the player to reveal enemy position for a longer period of time.
  • Increased Range costs six Chronon Sources. Increased Range increases the range of Time Vision.
